Embodied Living

Somatic Yoga and Wellness

Welcome to Embodied Living!

Where healing begins through reclaiming your mind body connection. Learn how to feel safe physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Every experience we have is a bodily experience. Learning to recognize your body's signals, release patterns of tension, and regulate your nervous system is essential for lasting health and well-being.

Rather than symptom management, Somatic Yoga techniques address the root causes of stress, trauma, and nervous system patterns that result in chronic pain, anxiety, tension, pelvic health challenges, and limited mobility because it works directly with the central nervous system and the brain, creating new neural pathways between body and mind.

This is more than movement. It's a return home to your body! If you've tried traditional approaches and are looking for deeper, lasting change, Somatic Yoga Therapy is for you!

Let’s work together

Hi, I’m Wendy Schottle Brom, a Certified Yoga Therapist, Somatic Yoga Therapist, and Ayurveda Yoga Specialist.

For a long time, my body felt like it was constantly bracing and in pain. It was tight, tired, sore, and never fully at ease. I tried all the things we’re told to try: massage, chiropractic care, physical therapy. They helped for a short while but the tension and pain always came back.

What I didn’t understand then was that my body wasn’t broken. It was holding onto stress.

Finding Somatic Yoga changed everything for me. For the first time, I wasn’t just treating symptoms. I was working directly with my nervous system, gently unwinding long-held stress patterns and reconnecting my brain and body in a way that felt safe, empowering, and sustainable.

Through these practices, I began to feel relief that actually lasted. My tension softened and I am now pain free. I have more mobility and better overall physical functioning. I am now able to lift weights, swim, dance, walk, and do physical activity that brings me joy! And most importantly, I feel more at home in my body.

Somatic Yoga didn’t just help me feel better. It gave me my life back. It has been an honor for me to share this knowledge and practice to people with chronic stress, pain, and trauma for the last 14 years! My students and my direct experience have been my greatest teachers. I know firsthand the value of what I teach and that we all have the innate ability to heal when we reclaim our mind body connection.

I offer individual sessions and specialty classes for chronic stress, pain, and trauma resolution. I teach people how to listen to their bodies, regulate their nervous system, and cultivate embodied presence.
