Let’s work together

Hi, I’m Wendy Athina Schottle, a Certified Yoga Therapist, Somatic Yoga Therapist, Ayurveda Yoga Specialist and Adaptive Yoga Teacher.

Welcome! For a long time, my body felt like it was constantly bracing and in pain. I was tight, tired, sore, and never fully at ease. I tried all the things we’re told to try: massage, chiropractic care, physical therapy. They helped for a short while but the tension and pain always came back.

What I didn’t understand then was that my body wasn’t broken. It was holding onto stress and movement patterns.

Finding Somatic Yoga changed everything for me. For the first time, I wasn’t just treating symptoms. I was working directly with my nervous system, gently unwinding long held stress patterns and reconnecting my brain and body in a way that felt safe, empowering, and sustainable.

Through these practices, I began to feel relief that actually lasted. My tension softened and I am now pain free. I have more mobility and better overall physical functioning. I am now able to lift weights, swim, dance, walk, and do physical activity that brings me joy! And most importantly, I feel more at home in my body.

Somatic Yoga didn’t just help me feel better. It gave me my life back. It has been an honor for me to share this knowledge and practice to people with chronic stress, pain, and trauma for the last 14 years! My students and my direct experience have been my greatest teachers. I know firsthand the value of what I teach and that we all have the innate ability to heal when we reclaim our mind body connection.

I graduated from the Yoga Center of Minneapolis 230 hour program in 2012, completed the Mind Body Solutions Adaptive Yoga Teacher Trainings Level 1 and 2 in 2013, and then began my Yoga Therapy journey with Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute and graduated in 2017. I have continuing education in Hanna Somatics, Pelvic Health, Ayurveda, and Soul Psychology.

I offer individual sessions and specialty classes for chronic stress, pain, trauma, injury resolution, and women’s pelvic health. I teach people how to regulate their nervous system, return to their bodies, remember their nature, and root into their aliveness. Cultivating Embodied Presence.
